Manifesting money is a phrase that I had never heard of until 4 or 5 years ago.  When I did first hear of it, I honestly thought it was ridiculous.  The notion that you could think about anything, never mind money, and then attract it into your life seemed like complete nonsense.  I am a practical Scottish lass (well, more likely a wummin now, to be fair!), and we don't tend to believe all that woowoo crap!

However, I was interested, because the stories that I heard sounded exciting. I remember the very first person who introduced my to manifesting was Ruby McGuire, a visibility coach for business women.  She had talked about how she had seen this beautiful vase, and had decided that she had to have it. 

I can't remember the complete story, (probably down to my status as a wummin,  closer to 50 than 40!) but I do remember being blown away by how this could be possible.

Manifesting money?  Still cynical!

I did what I always do.  Looked for the proof that this could be possible, although in this case I was pretty sure that I would prove that it was a load of nonsense. 

However..... What I did find surprised me. Manifesting and The Law of Attraction (LOA), although they may seem a bit "out there", are actually pretty simple. 

In it's most basic form, it's that like attracts like. That all thoughts turn into things and that your thoughts create your reality. 

If you continually think negative thoughts, then you will feel negatively about the world.  Conversely, thinking positive thoughts will make you feel good, and will bring many more positive things into your life. 

This part of it really made sense to me, and helped me to realise where I had been going wrong in life.

Prove it

However, I am a very practical person, and I wanted actual proof that the Law of Attraction worked.  This was when Ruby introduced me to Pam Grout and her wonderful book, E-Squared: Nine Do-It-Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality. 

For a skeptic, like me, this was brilliant, because it encouraged me to put the Law of Attraction to the test.  The abundance of yellow butterflies in my life, did just that, and proved to me what I needed to know!

How the magic worked for me

For me learning about the Law of Attraction, reading these books, and working on my own personal development has changed my whole life. In the past 2 years we have:

• had a £5,500 refund from PPI that we never knew we had
• won a pair of £100 shoes
• won a Kindle Paperwhite
• "inherited" a £10,000 car! (I know that seems mad, but it is true!)
• been given a very unexpected gift of £5,000 from family

I don't mean for this to be a "look at me", gloating post.  Instead I hope it will inspire you to believe that by making simple changes to your life, you can have what you want too.

Previously I was the type of person who said "I never win anything", "nothing like that ever happens to me", and to be honest I was a right misery guts about money. I now genuinely believe that good things happen to me, and believe that I am very lucky and good things DO happen to me!

It's about raising your vibrations around money; doing things that make you feel good about money, and make you feel good about yourself.  It's about taking control of your situation, and making it work for you.  And it's about finding support from others as you take that journey.
