029 Early retirement for teachers - FIRE, investing and money tips
Retirement for teachers is something that we focus on in this episode of the Your Money Sorted teachers' podcast. We are joined by Neil Doig, author of the Amazon bestseller book Millennial Money Mindset and founder of Money Tipps. If you are curious about investing and wondering if you can dip your toe in it to earn additional income, this episode is for you. If you want to improve your knowledge on personal finance, then this episode is for you too!
As a teacher and host of the podcast I am focused on early retirement from teaching for myself and my work is designed to help other teachers to also retire or leave teaching early. Early retirement for teachers is a huge focus of the work I do, so don't forget to listen in to other episodes and check out the work I do.
The best place to start is always with my Maximise Your Money challenge.

What now?
It used to be that we worked until we reached retirement age and relied on our pension to get by. Easier times, wouldn't you think? Then came 2015 with a new legislation that has blown open the pension market according to Neil and might come as a scare for some people but when you think about it, this has given us the opportunity to enjoy our hard earned money earlier instead of working up to the age of 60 or 65! Thankfully we have amazing people such as Neil of Money Tipps who is happy to share his knowledge about investing through his book Millennial Money Mindset: If you want the Fruits you Need the Roots, podcast and the game he created called the Football Formation Asset Allocation. Check out his social media accounts or his YouTube channel to learn more about diversifying your portfolio.
